Office of the Director is NIA’s central leadership office.

At the National Institute on Aging (NIA), the Office of Administrative Management (OAM) is the institute's business operations and administrative infrastructure organization. 

The Intramural Research Program (IRP) in the National Institute on Aging (NIA) is comprised of seven scientific laboratories, the Translational Gerontology Branch, the Center for Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias (CARD), and nine core facilities, with leadership from the Scientific Director.

The NIA Office of Strategic Extramural Programs (OSEP) administers scientific research funding and support to small businesses, including via Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards.
