Biography Jothi Dugar sits in CIT's Office of the Director and serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), NIH Wellness Ambassador for CIT , and Executive Sponsor for Engagement Activities for CIT. In this role, she develops and manages CIT’s Information Security Program and serves as senior subject matter expert and principal technical advisor to the CIT Director, offering new and innovative methods and solutions to address ongoing IT security challenges.
As NIH Wellness Ambassador for CIT, Jothi has been a strong advocate for employee wellness, happiness, and diversity. She developed and launched CIT’s first health and wellness program in 2019 in her CISO role. She also seeks to enhance diversity in the workplace in coordination with CIT leadership and workforce improvement personnel.
Jothi conducts many initiatives to engage staff and improve staff wellness such as summer picnics and award functions, Winter Socials, Leadership socials with staff, walks with Leadership, etc. She also initiated a mentorship program, the Women in Tech series, and the Leaders Unplugged Series, which have been important means for CIT to engage staff and help address their needs.
Previously, she served as the Acting Deputy Director for CIT, responsibilities which covered employee engagement, inter and intra-organizational communications, business strategic planning, IT acquisitions, Information Systems Distribution program/enterprise software licensing, and cybersecurity.
Previous Experience Before joining CIT, Jothi served as the CISO at the NIH Clinical Center for eight years. During her tenure there, she developed and led the Information Security Office. With over 25 years of experience, Jothi is a leading federal government executive that takes pride in being a global change agent for human centric approaches to technology and cybersecurity. She is a catalyst for change, inspiring transformational leadership as a holistic wellness specialist, certified life coach, international best-selling author, motivational speaker, dance director, and a mom of three. Jothi is passionate about empowering people to take charge of their lives and break through the glass ceiling.
