The NIH Decode Chromatin (Data Exploration & Communication without DistrEss) Interest Group aims to promote information exchange and interaction among NIH scientists who work on various aspects of Chromatin, Epigenetics and Gene Expression. The principal Decode Chromatin activity is a bi-monthly seminar series for intramural postdoctoral and research fellows to present and discuss their work in a low-pressure, friendly environment. Talks cover a range of topics related to chromatin structure, chromosome function and expression of the genome. One of the major goals of this platform is to promote fellow’s visibility with peers working on chromatin at NIH.

We meet on the last Tuesday of every other month at 3 pm in bldg. 50, rm. 1227/1233. At each meeting, two fellows give a 20–25-minutes talk, followed by 5–10 minutes for questions and discussion. After the talks, we invite everyone to join us for a chat with the speakers over some light refreshments. Our seminars are open to everyone interested, including researchers at all career stages.
