Summary of Key Accomplishments
NIA is one of founding members in the Collaboration for Alzheimer’s Prevention (CAP) working group that brings together representatives from academia, industry, the non-profit and industry sector, NIA and FDA.
The CAP working group established recommendations for harmonizing prevention trials procedures, cognitive and clinical outcomes, and clinical trials data and biosamples sharing. Identified common outcome measures include the CDR (clinical dementia rating), WMS (Wechsler Memory Scale), amyloid and tau PET, CSF amyloid, and more.
