Target audiences: Researchers interested in learning more about lipid droplets, myelin, APOE, and lipid homeostasis in the context of brain aging and AD/ADRD are invited to join this workshop

Purpose and Background

Lipids are increasingly recognized as playing an important role in brain aging and Alzheimer’s disease. The goals of this one-and-a-half day workshop were to assess the state of the science, identify gaps in knowledge, and explore areas of potential opportunity in the field. This workshop covered the following topic areas:

  • Lipid droplets in aging and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD)
  • Myelin in aging and AD/ADRD
  • APOE and lipid homeostasis in aging and AD/ADRD

Location

This workshop was held virtually on Webex.
