The third Geroscience Summit, organized by the trans-NIH Geroscience Interest Group (GSIG), provided a forum for novel interactions between disease-focused professional societies and foundations, and the community of researchers and practitioners of geroscience . The aim of the Summit was to draw the attention of researchers and professional societies focused on specific age-related diseases to the emerging field of geroscience and its potential role in combating those diseases.
This Summit was hosted by the National Institutes of Health and is made possible through federal funding from the National Institute on Aging and private sector contributions to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH). The summit took place at the National Institutes of Health’s William H. Natcher Building (Building #45) on November 4 and 5, 2019, in Bethesda, MD. The summit was free and open to the public.
