Success and Cost-Effectiveness of Strategies to Recruit Older Adults to a Behavioral Intervention Research Study

This article describes the success and cost-effectiveness of multiple recruitment strategies employed to enroll older adults into a randomized controlled trial investigating the impact of a behavioral sleep intervention on cognitive function. Findings suggest that, while high-cost strategies are likely necessary for effective recruitment, including relational and social media-based strategies may offer cost-effective methods for recruiting older adults.
