Recruitment Into Dementia Studies: Experiences of Researchers Using the Join Dementia Research Register

This article describes how the Join Dementia Research registry helped recruit study volunteers and raised awareness of dementia research. The authors conclude that registries provide a strong infrastructure for recruiting volunteers and reducing recruitment barriers and costs. Although this registry is based in the United Kingdom, it may serve as a useful model for a dementia registry design strategy in the United States.
