Disparities by Race and Ethnicity Among Adults Recruited for a Preclinical Alzheimer Disease Trial

This study examined racial and ethnic differences in recruitment methods and trial eligibility in a multisite preclinical Alzheimer’s disease trial. Researchers determined that racial and ethnic groups differ significantly in their main sources of recruitment and reasons for eligibility screen failure. The results emphasize the need for improved recruitment strategies and careful consideration of eligibility criteria when planning preclinical Alzheimer’s disease trials.
