Multi-Objective Optimization Formulation for Alzheimer’s Disease Trial Patient Selection

In this study, researchers used a non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm to systematically identify eligibility criteria for Alzheimer’s disease clinical trials that balance statistical power, recruitment feasibility, safety, and cost. Results show that computational approaches serve as sophisticated validation tools to be used alongside clinical expertise when optimizing trial design.
