INviting Veterans InTo Enrollment in Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (INVITE‐ADRC): An NIA and VA–Sponsored Initiative to Increase Veteran Participation in Aging and Dementia Research

This article describes the diverse and innovative recruitment strategies used to increase veteran recruitment as a part of the INVITE-ADRC study, a collaboration between NIA and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Findings highlight the value of involving veterans’ trusted healthcare providers in the research recruitment strategies, carrying out recruitment activities where veterans receive services, and engaging individual veterans and/or veterans’ advisory boards.
