Analysis of Eligibility Criteria in Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias Clinical Trials

This study analyzed data from 196 NIA-funded Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (AD/ADRD) clinical trials to identify common eligibility criteria and their potential to disproportionately exclude participants by race/ethnicity. Analyses revealed that most trials had criteria that may be a barrier to achieving diverse and equitable recruitment into AD/ADRD clinical trials.
