SubjectThe National Toxicology Program (NTP) has conducted prenatal developmental toxicology studies in rodents of vinpocetine. Vipocetine is a man-made chemical marketed in the United States as a dietary supplement for enhanced learning, memory, and cognition and in other countries as a pharmaceutical drug. These studies were conducted to determine if there is potential harm to the developing fetus.
