The IRG reviews funding applications and proposals, including but not limited to grant and cooperative agreement applications and contract proposals for research projects and for research and training activities in areas relevant to basic and clinical aspects of vascular and hematological components of the circulatory system in normal and disease states including, but not limited to, vascular hemodynamics and hypertension, neural and integrative systems, inflammation, atherosclerosis and vascular cell and molecular biology with an additional focus on hematopoiesis, blood cells, including red cells, granulocytes, monocytes, leukocytes and mechanisms of hemostasis and thrombosis.
