Chemicals Approved for Drain Disposal



Laboratory workers should consult the

before undertaking drain disposal of any laboratory chemicals. Only those chemicals that have been approved for drain disposal by the Division of Environmental Protection (DEP) may be disposed of down the drain. Surplus solid chemicals must be disposed of through the Chemical Waste Services and must not be discharged into the sanitary sewer.
