Task Force on Research Specific to Pregnant Women and Lactating Women (PRGLAC) Implementation Working Group of Council | NICHD

In 2023, NICHD formed the PRGLAC Implementation Working Group of Council to put recommendations from the congressionally mandated, NICHD-led PRGLAC, established as part of the 21st Century Cures Act, into practice.

The PRGLAC Implementation Working Group of Council is a subgroup of NICHD’s National Advisory Child Health and Human Development (NACHHD) Council. It monitors and reports on how the Task Force's recommendations are being implemented to improve knowledge and research on safe and effective therapeutics for pregnant and lactating women.

The working group hosted a series of meetings on implementation activities beginning in November 2023. Afterward, the group presented on updates and findings (PDF 672 KB) to the NACHHD Council in June 2024 and released its report on implementation progress (PDF 1 MB) in July 2024.
