Kidney Interagency Coordinating Committee (KICC)

Kidney Interagency Coordinating Committee (KICC)
Many Federal agencies lead an aspect of the multi-faceted and interconnected response to CKD. The Kidney Interagency Coordinating Committee (KICC) consists of Federal representatives involved in CKD programs and activities from these agencies.
Federal CKD activities include public education and outreach (conducted by DoD, HRSA, IHS, NIDDK and VA), surveillance (conducted by CDC, DoD, HRSA, IHS, NIDDK and VA), professional education and outreach (conducted by CDC, DoD, IHS, NIDDK and VA), delivery and payment of care (conducted by CMS, DoD, HRSA, IHS and VA), scientific research (conducted by CDC, FDA, and NIDDK) and quality improvement/evidence of therapy (conducted by AHRQ, CDC, CMS, DoD, HRSA, IHS and VA).

KICC's purpose is to encourage communication and collaboration to shape a more coordinated Federal response to CKD.
