The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health seeks a postdoctoral fellow to study amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

About the position

Applicant will develop a novel drosophila model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis based on incorporation of human endogenous retroviral elements. The purpose of the model is to study disease pathophysiology and develop therapeutics. This position is being created as part of a collaboration between the laboratories of Dr. Quan Yuan who studies neuroplasticity in drosophila (https://irp.nih.gov/pi/quan-yuan) and Dr. Avi Nath who studies the role of retroviral elements in neurodegeneration (https://irp.nih.gov/pi/avindra-nath).

Qualifications
