The Food Allergy Research Section in the Laboratory of Allergic Diseases (NIAID) dissects genetic and immune pathways that drive food allergy and related conditions. Postdocs leverage complementary murine models and deeply phenotyped patient cohorts, bridging basic discovery and clinical translation within an innovative, collaborative, mentored research environment. Fellows gain access to advanced core facilities, career development, and interdisciplinary collaborations across NIH and beyond.

About the position

Projects probe immunologic pathways that sustain long-term humoral immunity, integrating mechanistic mouse models with deeply phenotyped patient samples and in vivo and ex vivo functional assays. Additional studies dissect how the microbiome and early-life exposures shape immune development, using high-dimensional, integrated multi-omic profiling and computational analysis to reveal new targets for prevention, therapy, and future clinical trials.
