Fogarty continues to advance African health education Fogarty is seeking applications for projects in eight African countries in the next phase of its efforts to advance research capacity and strengthen the continent’s health workforce. Focus on multigenerational research training: By supporting multigenerational research training, Fogarty contributes to a "multiplier effect" as trainees become trainers. Multigenerational research in South Africa leads to HIV discoveries Several generations of Fogarty trainees in South Africa have helped advance HIV prevention research with their work on broadly neutralizing antibodies. Generations of mentorship improve health in Haiti Three generations of Fogarty-supported mentors and mentees have transformed HIV/AIDS research in Haiti.
