Jennifer Bazinet

Jennifer Bazinet is the Associate Director of NIH for Legislative Policy and Analysis.

Dr. Bazinet joined OLPA as a Senior Advisor in May 2020. She was named Assistant Director of Office of Legislative Policy and Analysis (OLPA) in February 2023, a role she held through May 2025, and during this period she also served as Deputy Director from February to October 2023. She returned to the role of Deputy Director from May to August 2025. She served as Acting Associate Director for Legislative Policy and Analysis and Acting Director of the NIH Office of Legislative Policy and Analysis (OLPA) since August 2025. Prior to joining OLPA, Dr. Bazinet served as a health science policy analyst in the NIH Office of Science Policy and a health science administration in the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health. Dr. Bazinet received a Ph.D. in Cellular and Developmental Biology from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University.
