How to recruit candidates at all trainee levels
General overview of the recruitment process
There is no standard way the fellows of various levels are recruited to NIH research groups. Requirements and links to various systems are outlined in the table below.
| Summer intern | Interns must be selected from the OITE application database and accepted within the system prior to on-boarding. |
| Postbac | Postbacs must be selected from the OITE application database and accepted within the system prior to onboarding. |
| Predoc students (GPP) | Submit an open trainee position to OITE job listings.Individual agreement students apply directly to research groups and must have a completed MOU and registration prior to on-boarding. |
| Postdoc | Submit an open trainee position to OITE job listings.Fellows apply directly to research groups. |
| Academic intern | Register a trainee for the Academic Internship Program |
