The IRG reviews funding applications and proposals, including but not limited to grant and cooperative agreement applications and contract proposals for research projects and for research and training activities in areas relevant to development, physiology, and pathophysiology of the heart and circulatory systems, themes of development, muscle contraction including cardiac hypertrophy and failure, cardiovascular electrophysiology and arrhythmias, and myocardial ischemia and infarction, as well as basic and clinical aspects of lung cellular, molecular, and immunobiology, lung injury, repair and remodeling, and respiratory integrative biology in normal and disease states.
