The IRG reviews funding applications and proposals, including but not limited to grant and cooperative agreement applications and contract proposals for research projects and for research and training activities in areas relevant to translational and clinical investigations that encompass cancer therapeutic development and cancer treatment. This includes the mechanism of action of cancer therapeutic agents in both in vitro and in vivo model systems; identification and validation of new druggable targets; development and evaluation of experimental therapies of neoplastic diseases; development or optimization of treatment modalities; and radiation biology and therapy.
