In addition to planning the genomic medicine meetings on timely themes, the working group provides guidance to NHGRI on genomic medicine implementation by reviewing current progress; identifying research, education, and implementation gaps and approaches for filling them; publicizing key advances ; facilitating collaborations and coordination within and outside NIH, and promoting long-term availability of genomic resources.
